Cedar Bay Corporate History

Cedar Bay Construction, Inc. is a General and Mechanical Contractor with particular expertise in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant construction and related equipment installations, heavy concrete work, specialty commercial, industrial and highway work.

Founder Harry DeLapp started the Corporation on October 14, 1976, and in 1978, Cedar Bay designed and built its own 6,000 SF corporate office and warehouse complex near the shores of Lake Erie in Huron, Ohio.

Since its beginning, Cedar Bay has grown to employ approximately 20 full-time people, and has an annual sales volume of approximately $6 million.

Although the majority of Cedar Bay's work is obtained through competitive bids for local, state and federal government, the Company also performs negotiated contract work for private clients.

Cedar Bay's management believes that a company is only as good as its people, and strives to hire the most highly-qualified office and field personnel.

The Company is committed to providing a safe and healthful working environment for all Employees through education and training and the continued improvement of its comprehensive Safety Program.

Through the Company-paid Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), the employees become Owners of the Corporation, sharing a stake in its success and ensuring the highest performance in both office and field operations.
