On Thursday, September 4, Cedar Bay will be bidding “Contract D – General” Prime Contract on this $3,230,000 Wastewater Treatment Plant project for the City of Galion, Ohio (Crawford County). The other bid packages are Contract C – Electrical, Contract E – Plumbing and Contract F -- HVAC. We will be accepting subcontract quotations for the plumbing, HVAC and electrical work for a combination bid.

The proposed scope of work consists of furnishing material & labor for the improvements to the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant which includes: a new indirect, drum-type sludge dryer system including wet sludge hopper, thermal heating unit, scrubber/ condenser, odor control system & conveying systems; sludge dewatering centrifuge, sludge grinder, polymer feed system & conveying system; renovations to existing sludge processing building, installation of new centrate & sanitary sewage pump station; new metal building siding & supports, misc. demolition, sitework, piping, trench paving, electrical, plumbing and HVAC work.

NOTE: This project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rate’s, EEO Provisions and the City of Galion standards, as identified in the Contract Documents. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00am on August 21, 2008 for all prospective bidders at Galion WWTP (6374 Hosford Road, Galion, OH).

Bid documents may be ordered from the Consulting Engineers for a non-refundable fee of $250.00 for each set of Contract Documents. Checks shall be made payable to “Burgess & Niple, Inc.".
